Michigan Man Wins 2013 Mustang Dream Giveaway Including Two Shelby GT500 Mustangs Plus $50,000!

CLEARWATER, Fla. - July 24, 2013 - PRLog -- The 2013 Mustang Dream Giveaway, a nationwide drawing sponsored by WorldCause Foundation, came to end on July 4, 2013. 46 year-old William Strickler from Michigan was named the grand prize winner.

Mr. Strickler will soon become the proud owner of a 1968 Shelby GT500 and a matching 2013 Shelby GT500! In addition, Mr. Strickler will receive $50,000 cash to help pay the prize taxes.

Mr. Strickler entered the 2013 Mustang Dream Giveaway on May 15, 2013, by making a $300 tax-deductible donation. Members of DG Group, Inc. were on hand to congratulate him when he received the winning phone call. He was stunned when he heard the news, “When I went on the website and saw my name I almost fell over,” Mr. Strickler said. “I contacted my Dad and told him I had won and he couldn’t believe it either. It definitely took a few days for everything to sink in.”

Mr. Strickler, who enjoys sking, mountain biking and elk hunting in his free time, works in the energy business for Stricker Resources, a company he owns with his father. Three years ago Mr. Strickler saw an ad for the Mustang Dream Giveaway in Mustang Monthly Magazine and has entered the giveaway every year since then, “I have enjoyed Mustangs since I was kid,” Mr. Strickler said. “My mother had a Mustang when I was younger but these are the first Mustangs I have ever owned. I definitely consider myself to be a Mustang enthusiast. I can’t decide if I like the old one or the new one better but I like the fact that I am going to have a chance to decide”.

Mr. Strickler will accept the amazing grand prize package on August 16, 2013, at a ceremony to be held at Alternative Automotive Technologies in Troy, Michigan. As excited as Mr. Strickler was to be named the winner of the Giveaway, he didn’t forget the causes his donation went to support, “When I entered it wasn’t about me and it wasn’t about the cars rather it was about the charitable causes I knew my donation would benefit. It was all about the causes and the wonderful work they do.”

WorldCause Foundation (WCF) is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all inhabitants of this planet. As a result of this event, WorldCause Foundation will award grants to the Carroll Shelby Foundation, PVA Outdoor Recreation Heritage Fund, DAV, and Henry Ford Health System.
