CHANDLER, Ariz. - July 23, 2013 - PRLog -- CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC proudly announces the signing of Bill Kenney for his latest novel, “Victims of the Past.” In a gripping tale fueled by extraordinary scenes, author Bill Kenney introduces Private Investigator Moe Flynn and his uniquely qualified team as they hunt for a killer and discover much more than they ever bargained for. Victims of the Past is scheduled for eBookrelease in late-2013 and will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other leading retailers nationwide. The print version is currently slated for release in early-2014 and will be available through Ingram, the world’s largest book distributor, and On-demand from the Espresso Book Machine (http://www.ondemandbooks.com/).

For a group of kids from Beach Harbor, Pennsylvania, a day of swimming in the Susquehanna River is about to turn into a nightmare scenario.

While many of the children would suffer mild-to-moderate burns from the toxic water, two girls, in particular, would require emergency treatment for severe chemical burns.

As accusations fly, Liam Gallagher, environmental czar of an accused chemical company, needs answers—fast. With his company’s name on the line, Gallagher enlists the help of Iraqi war veteran turned private eye, Moe Flynn, to investigate the illegal activity and clear his company of any wrongdoing.

Ultimately, what Flynn and his crack team of investigators discover goes much deeper than illegal dumping…

When one of the injured girls succumbs to her wounds, the investigation shifts into high gear—a manhunt for a murderer.

With the help of Diane Husted, a beautiful computer expert, and Joe Benedetti, a streetwise investigator, Flynn unearths a connection between the illegal activities of a chemical disposal company and a retired mobster, Sal Falzarone—a connection that could cost them their lives.

But first, Moe Flynn must battle demons of his own…

“Author Bill Kenney’s technical acumen brings an uncommon strength, significance, and realism to his writing—setting the stage for a plausible story fueled by credible characters,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Similar to Michael Black’s A Killing Frost and John Grisham’s best-selling novel, The Pelican Brief, Victims of the Past reveals much more than first expected—a tightly wrapped tale of captivating action and relevant insight.”

Author of two published books, more than two-dozen technical articles, and a number of short stories, Bill Kenney strives to develop realistic scenarios and factually based systems and methods found throughout his fictional work. Many of the scenes and procedural knowledge found in Victims of the Past, spawned from his five-year role as environmental manager for a New Jersey chemical plant.
