By: RJC Architects The San Diego architectural firms RJC Architects and Joseph Wong Design Associates, in a design/build team with Hensel Phelps Soltek Joint Venture, completed the award-winning project in 2012. That same year, the residential campus was named an American Public Works Association (APWA) Public Works Project of the Year – lauded for its appealing design and energy efficiency – by the San Diego/Imperial chapter. Other key members of the team on this project include K. Killman Design; RBF, civil engineer; Berger ABAM, structural engineer; MA Engineers, mechanical engineer; Elen Engineers, electrical engineer; KEMA, sustainable design consulting; and Aon Fire Protection.
