This is the fifth year in a row that Dr. Andrews has been named a top dentist, the first time being in 2009. When compiling the Guide to America’s Top Dentists The Consumer Research Council evaluates dentists based on four criteria: experience, training, board certification and professional associations. These criteria allow the group to assess and rank each dentist based on the things that patients find most important. Dentists receive points based on the four criteria and when an individual dentists reaches a certain number of points they are ranked in the guide.

Experience takes into account the number of years a dentist has been in practice. Training evaluates not only the dentist’s initial education and training but how active that dentist has been in continuing education and keeping up with the latest dental advancements and technologies. The team at the Consumer Research Council then looks to see how many specialties the dentist engages in that are ADA recognized and finally they determine how active a dentist is in professional dental associations.
