Liberty Properties has chosen RoofGrip Access Walkway System to protect their roof sheeting at the Liberty Midlands Mall in Pietermaritzburg.

Alifab manufactures the RoofGrip Access Walkway System in their factory in Pietermaritzburg. Management says it is nice to be able to work so close to home for a change as they undertake installation projects throughout South Africa.

The LMM project consisted of installing 600mm wide access and working platforms on both a new section of roof and an old section. The old section was being damaged by cleaners accessing the roof sheet area to wash curtain wall installations in the centre of the mall roof.

The RoofGrip Access Walkway System controls the access to the roof by laying a specific path in the most suitable section of the roof. The product is designed to increase the distribution area of load created by cleaners and maintenance crews. This ensures the sheeting joints are disturbed and damaged thereby helping to ensure the installation remains good for an extended life span.
