“Axiom Associates Designs Website For NFL Legend"

LAS VEGAS - July 20, 2013 - PRLog -- So just how did they make a site of legendary proportion that would honor the man and the masses?

AXiOM Associates, a Las Vegas based business development firm, took on the project of developing Jerry Rice’s website through a sponsored contest. Faced with understanding his story, honoring his mission and communicating his passion (on top of the challenge of honoring the legend), AXiOM Associates set out to make a site worthy of the man.


“I’ve followed Jerry Rice and his career since I was a kid. I have always been a big Jerry Rice fan,” says Trent McCallson, President and CSO of AXiOM Associates. “I have been designing websites and advertising material since I was sixteen years old. I enjoy finding little details about people and the things that are significant to them or their image and making subtle design references in their materials. On this site, for example, I incorporated hash marks of a football field in one margin and made the footer into an end zone, complete with a 3D goalpost. There are sleeve stripes on each page to honor the uniform he wore for the 49ers and the navigation bars hover in the colors of “home” and “away” jerseys.”

McCallson has always enjoyed making functional designs for people. For the last 20 years, he has also worked as a rehabilitation engineer, making specialized medical equipment unique to people with chronic neuromuscular diseases. “I’ve always wanted to make things that impact people’s lives. I would spend hours on hours designing little things on wheelchairs that had measurement and application tolerances of just millimeters. I think that gave me a good eye for function and clean designs,” says McCallson.  The design quality of the website highlights AXiOM’s ability and desire to produce work that looks and functions easily and beautifully.

They will find out if Rice selected their design on July 26.
