NAIFA San Diego Recognized for Excellence

SAN DIEGO - July 19, 2013 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 2, 2013 – The San Diego Chapter of NAIFA, an association representing the interests of financial and insurance advisors was recently recognized for their record-breaking year in membership enrollment. Ben Nevejans, Membership Committee Chairmen, oversees the planning and implementation for their new membership efforts.

“We really worked hard this year to increase the awareness of NAIFA and all its benefits in Southern California,” Ben states. “Prior to 2012, there was no focused outreach directly to the independent advisor. As a result, they know very little about what NAIFA does or the tremendous value the organization can have on their practice.”  The political advocacy work that NAIFA does helps bring awareness to legislators the value of the products and solutions that independent advisors offer their clients and, in turn, its contribution to the economy. Life insurance products provide financial security to 2/3rds of all American families and the industry pays $1.5 billion per day to families and business. Social security pays $1.9 billion.

“Whether a member of NAIFA or not,” Ben says, “every advisor in our industry owes a great deal to this association. Without the work NAIFA does in Washington ensuring that the federal government does not take away the tax advantages of our products, many of us would be out of a job. It’s been our goal at NAIFA San Diego to spread that word.”
