Cronut Craze stars in a Farm to Fork Murder Mystery

FRESNO, Calif. - July 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Tara Hamilton, organic farmer and owner of Organic Fresno, is launching her latest murder mystery script that combines her love of food and entertainment.

The new script “Cronut Craze” is based on the pastry that’s taken the New York foodie scene by storm! Imagine a French croissant marrying an American donut, being stuffed with cream and it’s top being kissed with icing. With New Yorkers paying up to $100 for the pastry, people would kill for the recipe. In this fictional version of how the “Cronut” was invented, the chef “Fat Nat” was killed for the recipe. His best friend Gabby willed her fortune of $100,000,000 to the person who can figure out Whodunit!

“$25 for a farm to fork dinner and live show is the best deal in California. We have tourists planning their trip to Yosemite and they make reservations for the show. This encourages them to stay and play along the way. If we could convince more tourists to spend one night in Fresno, the economic impact would be amazing” says Tara. The audience member’s aren’t suspects and the cast is comprised of local talent. Leigh Ratliffe, Karan Johnson, Amalie Larson, and Arianna Hamilton are the stars in this mystery. The audience enjoys their 4 course farm to fork dinner which highlights an ever changing menu of dishes made from local, organic ingredients. They then watch the comedic drama unfold. After mayhem breaks out, there is a short intermission where the dessert is served.  Then the investigation begins! Suspects are questioned and secrets are revealed. It is up to the audience to guess who had the most motive, means and opportunity.  Prizes are awarded for the correct solution. It is fun, family friendly and unique.

“Cronut Craze” opens on July 19^th and will run until August 24^th. It is performed at Organic Fresno at 903 N. Parkway Drive, off Highway 99.
Dinner and Show are $25 and run from 6 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday. Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Meat options are available.
