Jared Choate to Embark on Bicycle Tour Across America to Promote Book Release

DAVIS, Calif. - July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Jared Choate’s first novel - The Now Testament - is a memoir of his 3,000 mile run across America from the coast of Surf City, NJ to the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA which was completed on February 13, 2011.

Released episodically in ebook only format (www.jaredchoate.com), the first chapter ("New Jersey") was released on July 11th, 2013. The two subsequent chapters - "Pennsylvania" and "West Virginia/Ohio" will be released episodically in the four weeks following (7/25/13 and 8/8/13, respectively.)

Following this, subsequent chapters will be released every two weeks or contingent upon Choate’s bicycling through the state correlating with that chapter. For example, when Choate bicycles across the westward state line of Indiana (or the correlating latitudinal parallel) - that chapter will be released.

“In thinking of how to promote a book written, published, and promoted in grassroots fashion,” Choate said, “and considering the most efficient means of doing so while at the same time trying to reach the most people possible - it only made sense to do it by bicycle. The truest, purest form of America, for me, is found in small towns, on forgotten backroads, that may be easy to gloss over if not on foot. This notion has been tacitly, fundamentally at the crux of every discussion of how to best put The Now Testament to the eyeballs of the masses. It’s a truly humbling story, and one that refuses to be ignored. After all - I went through the trouble of writing your favorite book!”
