IIDEX Canada presents Déjà Vu By Tracy Pepe Ignite the Senses with Scent

The senses reach another plane of interpretation at the Déjà Vu exhibit, on display at IIDEX 2013. Presented by Nose Knows Design, this boundary-pushing exhibit unlocks the potential of sensory fusion triggered by the aroma of handcrafted fragrance

TORONTO - July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Déjà Vu is a sensorial exhibit that instructs individuals how to experience a space with their eyes, nose, mouth, fingers and ears…. smelling colour, seeing music, hearing shapes and feeling taste.

Inspired by the manifestations of synesthesia(a neurological condition in which stimulation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stimulation) of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway),Déjà Vuseeks tomerge the experiences of the five senses through the medium of scent. Visitors to the booth will encounter unique headspaces featuring artisan style blends that infiltrate the nose and awaken the imagination. The scented dimension has never held so much possibility!

Nose Knows Design founder and Scent Designer, Tracy Pepe comments: "As a perfumer, I can smell colour and over the years I have found that each and every one of us has a degree of synaesthesia. By curating this exhibit and enhancing each of the senses I am hoping to demonstrate how the senses impact a space and overall design and in turn, impact human behavior response within the space.   My goal is to inspire the design community to understand how Scent Design can provide solutions within a space. "

Nose Knows Design helps to generate a powerful sensory experience that makes a memorable impression. The scented dimension supports the space’s overall aesthetics and emotional impact, helping to establish a stronger brand. For over twenty years Nose Knows Design has been scenting spaces and celebrating the positive use of scent.
