Iran’s nuclear program will cross Netanyahu’s “red line” in 120 days

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on CBS news’s Face the Nation, Iran is just 60 kilograms short of crossing his “red line”. Crude oil and gold prices will spike up higher if Israel attacks Iran’s nuclear facilities.

BROOKINGS, Ore. - July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Netanyahu defines the line, which Iran should not be allowed to pass, as being in the possession of 250 kg. of 20% enriched uranium. This is enough fissile material for a nuclear bomb. They currently have 9,300 IR-1 centrifuges operational at the Natanz enrichment facility, and 2,800 IR-1 centrifuges at their Fordow enrichment facility. He said in June they had 190 kg. Which means they now have 200 kg. At the current pace of approximately 11.5 kg. per month, they are four months away. A showdown with Iran can be expected by November, 2013

Netanyahu said Iran is currently installing 3,000 second generation IR-2 centrifuges. These are designed to enrich uranium six times faster then the IR-1. When the new units are installed Iran will be only a few weeks away from having enough enriched uranium for its first bomb.

The dissident National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) released photographs of what they purport to be a secret underground enrichment facility. Netanyahu warned that Iran was not seeking one or two nuclear bombs, but 200 bombs. They are building ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles) parallel to developing their nuclear weapons program. They intend to be able to reach the United States. The Pentagon recently confirmed that US intelligence agencies have assessed that as early as 2015, Iran will be set to test an intercontinental ballistic missile. Iran has an extensive joint venture missile development program with North Korea.

Netanyahu said the June 14 election of Hassan Rohani as president elect of Iran was a reflection of the deep dissatisfaction of the Iranian people with its regime. Unfortunately, he remains committed to pursuing the path of arming Iran with nuclear weapons. He wrote a book about negotiation with the West, while promoting a nuclear program. Netanyahu calls this the “talk and enrich” doctrine.

Netanyahu said Iranian’s faster centrifuges will enable them to jump the line much faster. That is, within a few weeks. “They are getting closer,” he said. “They should understand they are not going to be allowed to cross it”. Netanyahu told CBS News that Iran is “edging up to the red line. They have not crossed it yet…they have to be told in no uncertain terms that they will not be allowed to cross that line.”

Netanyahu states that while Iran is expanding and improving its uranium enrichment capabilities, and developing its missile program, it is also building a plutonium reactor at Arak, which is expected to go on stream in the next five months. Some experts believe this facility will be capable of producing plutonium for a nuclear bomb.

The Prime Minister has said Israel is a tiny country and is closer to Iran than the US is. They also do not have the military power America has. We are more vulnerable. Israeli and US clocks are “ticking at a different pace.” When the time comes Israel will defend itself.

Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin enunciated what came to be known as the Begin doctrine: “On no account shall we permit an enemy to develop weapons of mass destruction (WMD) against the people of Israel.” Begin enforced the doctrine by destroying Iraq’s plutonium reactor at Osirak during Operation Opera in 1981. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert used this doctrine to destroy the Syrian plutonium nuclear facility September, 6, 2007. Iran’s Arak plant will produce plutonium. Prime Minister Netanyahu will probably enforce the Begin doctrine within the next four months, in 2013.

While Iran is a larger nation, whoever touches Israel is touching the apple of God’s eye, ( Zechariah 2:8) and God is jealous of his name (Exodus 34:14).
