“Youth orchestras matter in Greenville,” says Jacqui Rose, Board President of GCYO’s Association. “Not only do our students learn to perform their instrument with excellence, but they also learn a collection of life skills that can benefit them and their employers later in life. From learning to critique themselves to having confidence under pressure, our students are learning determination to succeed that will stay with them long after their time with the youth orchestra is over.”
The Greenville County Youth Orchestras Association’s newly elected board consists of five new members who will assist in moving the mission of the Association, a non-profit group, forward. “Our organization’s mission is to encourage, enhance and support the educational and artistic goals of the Greenville County Youth Orchestras. Our new board members are dedicated to this mission and are excited to help bring a new awareness of the need to support classically trained young musicians in our community,“
