PRLog -- Sterling, VA – The hot Washington summer is a perfect time to explore the rest of the globe via a culinary adventure. Cookology Recreational Culinary School holds an array of camp experiences designed for every skill level yet challenging enough to inspire experienced chefs of all ages. Professional yet friendly chefs teach proper kitchen safety, knife and heat skills for appropriate ages, along with various techniques that encourage lifelong learning. The summer camps celebrate regional cuisines and baking boot camps sure to bring out the artist in every child. The new Cheese-n-Bread making session teaches fresh cheese and bread starters that mature overnight for use the next day. The week culminates in pastry creation including fondant handling and decorative frosting. Other camps focus on favorite ethnic cuisines or cook around the world in one week. There’

s summer camps and classes highlight the bounty from Loudoun’
s farms with 70% of ingredients sourced locally. They follow the harvest with classes and recipes that prepare, process, and preserve seasonal fruits and vegetables. Students learn where their food comes from as well as techniques that will improve all of their cooking endeavors. Founder Maria Kopsidas notes “there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student empowered to create a new recipe or improve their lifestyle through cooking.”
Classes are available for individuals, couples, and groups with team building events designed for corporate clients. Cookology hosts parties and birthdays as well as special Mommy or Daddy & me menus and much more.
