GREATER MANCHESTER, U.K. - July 17, 2013 - PRLog -- The K-Club, the North West’s first by invitation only business club exclusive to key entrepreneurs and business leaders, is expanding less than two years after its launch in Manchester thanks to an initiative by co-founder Graham Clarke.

The Chester-based interim finance specialist who has worked with some of the best-known names in the business world across the UK and France, believed a Merseyside presence was vital if the K-Club was to truly represent the North West business community.

“Having been born and raised in Liverpool, I knew it was important for the city to be properly represented if the K-Club were to become the voice of the region’s business community and so I sat down with co-founder Fred Stone and we discussed my idea,” said Mr Clarke.

“Fred agreed with my view and we set about putting together a plan to have regular quarterly meetings in both Manchester and Liverpool. Members of the club will be able to attend as many meetings as they wish and at either location.”

The inaugural K-Club Liverpool event will take place on September 25th at the Liverpool Innovation Park in Wavertree and two prominent speakers have already been lined up.

“It is marvelous that, thanks to help from local connections, we have been able to organize this launch event so quickly,” added Mr Clarke, a Blue Coat alumni, who began his post-qualification career at the Liverpool office of KPMG and subsequently worked in senior financial roles for the Vernons Pools heir and legendary bloodstock entrepreneur, Robert Sangster.

“Liverpool has its own distinct personality and by recognizing this fact, I think the Liverpool business community will support the K-Club concept,” he went on.

“The K-Club is not a networking event, so attendees can come with the assurance of a strict ‘no sales promotion’ policy. It is a club for like-minded business leaders where they can meet up with other movers and shakers and discuss important issues. The club will also give the Merseyside business community a regional voice and an identity on the national business stage.”

K-Club co-founder Fred Stone said: “When Graham came to me with his idea we had not long since launched Manchester and I wanted to be sure there was an appetite for such a club within the business community. Manchester has proved there is wholehearted enthusiasm and so we are confident that Liverpool will welcome our non-profit making club for local entrepreneurs and business leaders.

“In Manchester each of our quarterly meetings at the Salford City Stadium have attracted up to 100 attendees and the concept is going from strength to strength. I have no doubt that Liverpool will enjoy similar popularity thanks to the passionate hard work of founders like Graham.”
