HENDERSON, Nev. - July 17, 2013 - PRLog -- With spring round the corner, it’s time for Las Vegas Pool Cleaning to get swimming pools in shape for the summer. If you too have a pool, here is a guide for opening it. First, drain as much water off your solid winter cover using a cover pump.

Be careful as a hole in the cover may lead to your pumping out more water than required. Once all the water is drained off, remove dirt and grime using a cover cleaner. Then store the dry and folded pool cover in a dry place to use next fall.

Test and then add water

It is important you know the chemistry of water you add to your swimming pool to prevent future major problems. So test your pool water using a reliable and comfortable swimming pool water testing method. Once tested, add sufficient fresh water to your swimming pool.

Next, check and ensure your swimming pool pump and filter system lines are open before starting them. The pump and skimmer baskets too have to be in place, free of debris. Then start your pool filter, heater and pump as per your manufacturers’ guidelines, and with a clean filter.

Next, Las Vegas Pool Cleaning removes all the leaves, twigs and large debris from the pool bottom using a leaf rake. If the pool bottom is not visible, you have to be especially careful while cleaning the pool bottom as chlorine shocks detect and oxidizes all contaminants including leaves. Cloudy pools devoid of debris are much easier and cheaper to clear up and shock treatments are more effective.

Stabilize the water

After filling the swimming pool, start the filter to circulate water. Next hook up your vacuum and vacuum the entire pool and brush its walls. Once your pool is free of debris and has recirculated its water overnight, add a pound of chlorinated shock treatment for 10,000 gallons of water. Introduce the shock treatment as per the manufacturers’ instructions.

The next step involves stabilizing the pool water to prevent loss of chlorine through the suns’ UV rays. Add the required stabilizer to a bucket of water and then add to the pool to reduce chlorine usage.

Next, chlorinate your pool using twice the normal dosage for your pool’s capacity and then let the pool water circulate overnight. Use algaecides to not only kill existing algae, but also to prevent algae from re-entering the pool.

All this done, Las Vegas Pool Cleaning has your pool open and ready for you to enjoy and relax in this summer.
