CHANDLER, Ariz. - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC proudly announces the signing of Ned M. Huckins for his second book, “Petrol Bees.” Propelled by discovery, author Ned M. Huckins reveals the potent, yet often unforeseen, ramifications of technology and the effect a genetically altered species could have on the earth. Petrol Bees is scheduled for eBookrelease in fall-2013 and will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other leading retailers nationwide. The print version is currently slated for release in early-2014 and will be available through Ingram, the world’s largest book distributor, and On-demand from the Espresso Book Machine (http://www.ondemandbooks.com/).

As humanity pursues advanced technologies, oil spills continue to plague the industrialized nations. Fortunately, though, for one specialized group of genetic researchers, the scales are now tipping in their favor.

Soon, the scientists stumble upon a hopeful answer—a genetically altered super bee capable of cleaning up harmful spills. Similar to a Honey Bee, the new species gathers the spilled petroleum and relocates it to a central location where it is cleaned and recovered.

Unfortunately, though, the military recognizes another purpose for the altered insect—a doomsday device—an unpredictable, unstoppable, untraceable super weapon.

Despite the government’s attempted cover up of the project and their ongoing hunt for key scientists, a few stalwart researchers remain steadfast in their opposition.

Now, with everything on the line, one question remains to be answered…

Who will win in the ultimate battle for control over the Petrol Bees?

“Reflecting a respect for nature and an understanding of mankind’s rapid pursuit of technology, author Ned M. Huckins creates a well-balanced story replete with poignant characters, vivid scenes, and timely wisdom,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Petrol Bees takes readers to the scary edge, where high-tech takes flight and no one is safe from the sting.”

With over thirty years of writing experience, Ned M. Huckins brings the same approach to his present novel as he does to life—balance. As a self-styled naturalist and veteran outdoorsman, Mr. Huckins not only understands normal wildlife cycles, but also the necessity of proper controls and management. He currently resides in the beautiful and lush woods of Washington State where he truly feels at home in his surroundings. Ned M. Huckins’ first novel, Drifter’s Honor: The Catamount Conflict (http://www.amazon.com/Drifters-Honor-Catamount-Conflict-e...), is currently available everywhere fine books are sold.
