Online ICD-10 Readiness Course used by Fort HealthCare to Train Coders in Anatomy and Physiology

BEDFORD, Mass. - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Libman Education’s 12 week virtual ICD-10 readiness course has been chosen by Fort HealthCare, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin’s 82 bed acute care facility, to train its medical coders in Anatomy and Physiology in anticipation of the October 1, 2014 ICD-10 compliance date.

The course, called Anatomy & Physiology for Coders, offers online, self-paced instruction that accommodates the schedule of the busy medical coding staff. To engage students, the course includes videos and interactive educational games, as well as full-color anatomical drawings.

Several large healthcare facilities have used the course to prepare for ICD-10.

Anatomy & Physiology for Coders has received prior approval from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) for 24 CEUs (continuing education units), AmericanAcademy of Professional Coders (AAPC) for 6 CEUs, and Radiologist Coding Certification Board (RCCB) for 23 CEUs.
