Production Of The iPhone 5S To Begin This Month

July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- The Apple iPhone 5 remains one of the most popular smartphone models on the market, so it will come as little surprise that there has been mounting speculation about its replacement model in recent months. There have been plenty of rumours about potential features and release date of the next iPhone model, which is believed to be called the iPhone 5S. Leaked images from the phone’s production line and information about its specifications have been appearing on the internet in recent weeks, pointing to the handset coming to the market in the near future.

While Apple is yet to officially confirm the device, a number of industry analysts have been speculating about when the phone is likely to enter production and when it will be released. GSM Arena has recently reported that Peter Misek, an analyst at Jefferies has claimed that the next generation iPhone model will enter mass production by the end of July.

Additionally, he claims that production of the rumoured budget iPhone model, claimed to be called the iPhone Light may already have entered production. This certainly backs up recent reports that Foxconn, one of Apple’s Manufacturing partners in Asia has recently hired a significant number of new employees, suggesting that mass production of the new model will begin imminently. The analyst’s report additionally claims that Apple will officially announce the iPhone 5S in late September or early October, so is likely to hit the market shortly afterwards. Because Apple has not officially announced the device, information regarding its features has not been confirmed. However, rumours suggest that it will see several upgrades over the current iPhone 5 model, such as an improved camera, more processing power and of course the recently announced iOS 7 software update.
