Hot Springs Arts & Film Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to helping promote aspiring and talented filmmakers by offering education, workshops, screenings and more. We support the Arts & Film through education and exhibition. Providing a venue and educational opportunities through screenings, participation and education with special programs, workshops, festivals, independent film, forums and classes. The Premier of the Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival is set to bring together filmmakers, fans and film fanatics for a fright-festive weekend packed full of films from all over the world. From killer shorts, to full-length feasts of terror, films from the Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller and Fantasy genres will all be represented. The epicenter of this 4-day event is the oldest Motion Picture Theater in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. Newly renovated, the Central Theater is located at 1008 Central Avenue in historic downtown Hot Springs. The boyhood home of former President Bill Clinton and a favorite stomping ground of mobster Al Capone, Hot Springs rich history makes it a popular tourist destination for most of the year, but from September 26th through the 29th, it will be host to insidious indie films, blood spattered scream queens, and seditiously inspiring film spook shops.
