HOUSTON - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Houston native, Janice Peterson has earned a spot in the Christian Women in Media Association National Showcase for Women (http://www.cwima.org/music-showcase) in Nashville, Tennessee. The TMG gospel/contemporary Christian recording artist was one of eight selected to go to Nashville and perform on Saturday, July 20. Janice will have the opportunity to sing two songs for three esteemed music industry judges (Grammy nominated recording artist Ayiesha Woods, manager Andrew Patton and Grammy nominated producer Roger Ryan).
Participants will receive a verbal critique on their performance as well as hand written comments from each of the celebrity judges. One artist will be selected by the panel of judges to perform next spring at the 2014 CWIMA National Conference in Dallas, Texas, and appear on national television. Additionally, the eight selected will be recognized on stage and be presented with a beautifully engraved “Star Music Award”. There is also a chance for interaction and networking with other artists and media professionals. Janice says, “I am very excited about the CWIMA Showcase in Nashville. It is another door of opportunity that I personally believe God has opened so that my worship ministry can be experienced by those who have been looking for something fresh, yet genuinely spiritual.”

She remains focused on encouraging people to have a relationship with God. Peterson’s project is heavily influenced by her heart’s cry that all walks of life can worship God unashamed. A theme reflected throughout the CD. The message is intentional…to inspire the nations to exalt and worship God together.
