BetterHalf: an iPhone App to Create Better Dates with Significant Others

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - July 15, 2013 - PRLog -- SYRACUSE, NY, July 10, 2013- BetterHalf is the first iPhone app created to make planning a couples’ night out as easy as a few simple taps on your mobile device. You can search for movies and restaurants nearby or at any designated location, pick one of each that you’d like to go to, and make a night out of it by sending the date plan to your significant other.

Since app development company Applits was launched in July of 2012, the company has been striving to bring a “social” feel to app development in the form of a monthly app idea competition, where site users work together to brainstorm and identify the next app that Applits should create.  BetterHalf began as an iPhone app idea submitted to the platform, and after emerging as a winner of the competition was developed alongside the original idea submitter.

The BetterHalf app has many different features, but some of the main attractions are marking certain movies and dining locations as favorites for your partner to see, sending, accepting, and/or rejecting each other’s date suggestions, purchasing movie tickets directly through the app, and viewing details and reviews of restaurants with ease.

By creating this app, Applits and the creative and development team at BetterHalf hopes to allow couples of any age to rekindle the flame in their relationship. Future version plans include suggested date ideas, notifications to remind each party to plan a date if the couple hasn’t been on one in a certain amount of time, making dining reservations directly through the app, and more. It is an app that is looking to serve a very unique and valuable purpose to its users, and is currently being offered for download as a $0.99 paid app.
