USA Emergency Broadcasting Adds National Geographic’s Top ’Prepper’ Capt. William E. Simpson

PORTLAND, Ore. - July 15, 2013 - PRLog -- USA Emergency Broadcasting Network and Capt. William E. Simpson (AKA: ‘Capt. Bill’) have entered into an agreement where USA EBN will have access and use of select content and articles relating to disaster preparedness (AKA: prepping) that will be provided by Capt. Simpson. Since his apprearance on the disaster preparedness scene in March 2013, Capt. Simpson's articles have been in high demand and have found favor with Americans who are interested in disaster preparedness ('Prepping').

Many people know Capt. Simpson from the hit National Geographic TV show ‘Doomsday Preppers‘, which featured Capt. Simpson in March of 2013 episode titled ‘A Fortress At Sea’. However, Capt. Simpson’s experience extends well beyond the world of reality television. He has a unique combination of professional and vocational skill sets combined with extensive hands-on experience in long-term off-the-grid survival, also known as ‘survival engineering’ (a ‘term’ coined by Capt. Simpson), including emergency operations and long-range communications. Capt. Simpson has been commendated by the U.S. Coast Guard for his role in a search and rescue operation that resulted in the successful rescue of two sailors lost overboard in the Pacific Ocean off Hawaii. More recently Capt. Simpson was again ’walking the talk’ when he and his wife were instrumental in a daring rescue operation that took place during a storm in the Sea of Cortez, which also resulted in a life being saved:

About Capt. Simpson

Capt. William E. Simpson II is a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer with decades of boating and expedition sailing experience, who has successfully survived long-term off the grid at remote uninhabited desert islands with his family using sailboats that he equipped for that purpose. Born in Los Angeles during the 1950’s Cold War Era, Capt. Simpson was influenced at an early age by the prospects of nuclear war. Growing up and through his early adulthood, he was tutored and trained by his father (U.S. Army 82nd Airborne [Europe WW2] & L.A.P.D.), who was highly experienced in warfare and survival. ‘Capt. Bill’ has an Associate of Science Degree in Flight Technology and also holds a U.S.C.G. 500-ton captain’s license for commercial inspected passenger vessels, including, power, sail and assistance towing vessels. In 1987 Capt. Simpson received a commendation from the U.S. Coast Guard Honolulu Sector for his assistance in the successful rescue of two sailors lost overboard at sea. In 2010, Capt. Simpson was again instrumental in the successful rescue of an American sailor lost over-board in the Sea of Cortez in a storm. Capt.
