ULLSWATER, U.K. - July 15, 2013 - PRLog -- An informative Blue Badge Guide will lead a group that will cycle with the assistance of electric power when the legs get tired or need a little extra help to tackle a gradient.  Those taking part in this event need no previous experience of electric bikes, but need to be aged over 14 for legal reasons, as the bikes will be on public roads.

The voyage of exploration by electric bike will encompass Howtown, Sharrow Bay, Eusemere and Pooley Bridge and includes a visit to Dacre Church, Dacre Castle and the Deer ‘n’ Dexter rare-breeds farm at Stoddah.  This tour will provide opportunities to spot local wildlife and drink in fabulous scenery.

It will be accompanied by a passage on water, with a one-way cruise to Howtown from Pooley Bridge on board an Ullswater ‘Steamer’ – a heritage boat that oozes history.

The tour starts at the Pooley Bridge Pier House at 9.30am, so that the group can travel on the 9.45am sailing.  It will end at approximately 4.30pm at Pooley Bridge.

Cycling in the fresh Cumbrian air can build up an appetite so the ticket price includes a light lunch of soup and bread and butter at the Horse & Farrier pub in Dacre.  Participants will also get a chance to purchase food at Deer ‘n’ Dexter.

Tickets cost £40 per person and can be bought online at www.ullswater-steamers.co.uk
