Follow on Google News | Railway Puts Nature Into the SpotlightLakeland’s longest steam railway, Ravenglass and Eskdale, is laying on two events, over consecutive weekends, which will put its local world of nature in the spotlight.

Visitors can travel up to Dalegarth by getting a train from Ravenglass, on the coast. The seven-mile journey is in itself a joy for the senses. On July 27, if the weather is kind, the World Owl Trust will be at Ravenglass Station with one of its feathered friends.
