RAVENGLASS, U.K. - July 15, 2013 - PRLog -- On Sunday, July 21, Ravenglass and Eskdale will have representatives from the RSPB at its Dalegarth Station near Boot.  The bird experts have created a nature trail around the station, which is located in a beautiful spot in the shadow of England’s highest mountains.

The free-to-follow nature trail will help visitors learn more about local flora and fauna and also add to the things to do around Dalegarth by those wishing to spend some time in its stunning landscape before catching their train.

Visitors can travel up to Dalegarth by getting a train from Ravenglass, on the coast.  The seven-mile journey is in itself a joy for the senses.

On July 27, if the weather is kind, the World Owl Trust will be at Ravenglass Station with one of its feathered friends.  Passengers of all ages will be able to find out more about the Trust’s work and the owls that it protects.

Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway’s marketing manager, Rachel Bell, says: “These events provide added value for our visitors, as standard train fares apply and there is no extra charge.

“Having fun within the world of nature and finding out more about creatures are appealing activities for all age groups, so we hope to see many new and familiar faces across these two weekends”.
