PRLog -- As the mother of three (3) black children, including a 20 year old son, it's breaking my heart that this young man (Trayvon Martin) lost his life because status quo says he was walking down the wrong street, in the wrong neighborhood ,at the wrong time of night...for his skin color. Many non-blacks seem to have no issue with this. They are blaming the victim. For the first time I am ashamed to be an american and I am appalled at the insults and blatant bigotry shown by non- blacks surrounding this case. This was totally a racially motivated killing. Put it this way, if Trayvon Martin had been a young 17 year old white boy walking down the street at that time of night and had been approached by a stranger that had first stalked him by car then by foot; and Trayvon reacted by defending himself and the man shot him dead would every one had have the same reactions they do now? Would you still have said that young white boy had no right being there at that time of night? Would anyone say that young white male was the aggressor for confronting a stranger who had been following him for blocks? Before you continue to say justice was done and its the blacks making it a race case, ask yourself TRUTHFULLY wasn't it already? If you can answer YES then you have hope. Take one more step I will ask the final question: When did the ability to defend yourself become a privilege for the one with the gun and the right color skin in the right neighborhood only?
