dUSTIN tAVELLA Releases Comedy Fused Music Video for “Everybody Knows”

LOS ANGELES - July 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Just before the 4^th of July holiday, artist dUSTIN tAVELLA quietly released the official music video for “Everybody Knows,” more commonly known as “that Douchebag song Selena danced to.”  Even with the holiday, YouTube views have surpassed 300,000 as Latina Magazine, Jezebel and The Atlantic Wire have sung praises for its positive message and comedic break.

The official video features "Machete" star Danny Trejo as a cook who steps out to serenade the beautiful Marielle Jaffe (Scream 4, Secret Life of an American Teenager) and convince her of what everybody already knows; her boyfriend could treat her better.  With Trejo in the lead, Dustin Tavella steps away from the music to embody the infamous boyfriend role.  Tavella also wrote, directed and edited the video.  

“Everybody Knows” also showcases the “dance” that created a buzz when Selena Gomez posted it on her YouTube, amassing over 3 million plays, about the same time she was splitting from Justin Bieber. Thus sparking Perez Hilton and and rest of celebrity media to speculate about the possible coded message, however this song was written for another purpose all together. Baby Bash, Fingazz, Francia Raisa, Samantha Droke, Charity Baroni, and Selena Gomez herself round out the stellar (and witty) cast.

“I made this video because this is an actual issue that is close to my heart,” said Dustin. “I think it is way too common for girls to be stuck in relationships where they are just not being treated correctly. Don’t get me wrong, this also happens to guys too. I have had my share of bad news relationships.  Although everyone around me, including my family and friends, were telling me she sucked, I just couldn't get out of the relationship.  We all need to be reminded sometimes and this video is a good ice breaker.”

Dustin grew up in Pennsylvania and learned to love creating music through singing, playing guitar and drums, and the piano. His energy, enthusiasm, and creativity go hand in hand with his ability to entertain.

For the past 5 years, Dustin also contributed to humanitarian organizations by traveling the world, feeding the homeless, helping drug addicts, aiding prostitutes in getting off the streets, and mentoring the youth. Even though music was only a side project, he started to realize the impact he made through music and made it his focus in life.

Dustin was cast as himself in CMT’s reality show Sweet Home Alabama and has since been featured in a video for the Rose Bowl and on ABC during an NCAA rivalry game.  His song "100 Roses" has been selected as the official 100th Anniversary Rose Bowl Game “theme song,” due to be released with a music video for the 2014 Rose Bowl Game.  Dustin now produces, writes, and records music in Los Angeles. Dustin is currently working with platinum producer Fingazz and expects to have his first album out within the next year.
