Combat Factory, Okami Dojo and Pit Crew Rescue Join Forces

RONKONKOMA, N.Y. - July 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Multi-media and clothing company, Combat Factory and Okami Dojo of Ronkonkoma, New York, have joined forces with Pit Crew Rescue to combat the mistreatment and abuse of dogs, especially Pit Bulls, throughout the New York area.

Founded by Pit Bill Ziegler, Pit Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization that seeks out abused and neglected dogs in the New York area.  They provide foster homes for the dogs they rescue, education on the plight of the Pit Bull breed, education on the importance of spay and neuter, and find permanent, loving homes for the dogs they free from their lifetimes of abuse.

Once rescued the dogs are provided with veterinary care, shots, spay or neuter, medical treatment for any illnesses, behavioral and obedience training, and socialization opportunities.

"Everyone at Combat Factory and Okami Dojo are dog lovers and some of us have owned pit bulls in the past," said Robert Carucci, CEO of Combat Factory and head instructor at Okami Dojo.  "When we were approached by Pit Bill and Pit Crew Rescue we could not pass up the opportunity to join forces for such a worthy cause."

Okami Dojo, a martial arts school located in Ronkonkoma, New York, that specializes in Ju Justsu, Kickboxing and other self defense techniques, has volunteered their time and facility to train all of Pit Rescue's personnel on an ongoing basis in order to assist them in the rescue of abused animals.  Along with Combat Factory CEO and head instructor Rob Carucci, head instructor Sean McGurn and kickboxer Demetrius Vardakas, Pit Bill and the members of Pit Crew Rescue will be able to expand on the skills they utilize and need in their every day fight against animal cruelty.

"In a situation like this we are not there for a problem, we are only there for the animal, it's up to them how they want their day to end. Either way, the animal is coming with us!" stated Pit Bill Ziegler." As you may or may not know, rescue not only can be emotional, but also dangerous.  When I chose to advocate, rescue and defend this particular breed I knew it would be a day to day battle against not only skeptics, but the actual abusers."
