Judging criteria used to choose a winner included energy efficiency, indoor air quality and thermal comfort, innovation, operation and maintenance, cost effectiveness, environmental impact, and quality of presentation. The ASHRAE Region V consists of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. The submission is now eligible to compete at the national/international level , which is the highest level of competition for the technology awards.
