GMC and Honda Partner on Fuel Cell Technology | Midlands Auto Shopper

ATLANTA - July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA —Honda and GMC recently announced a collaboration aimed at developing a commercially-viable fuel-cell vehicle by the end of this decade.

The companies have a total of more than 1,200 patents between them and have signed a “definitive master agreement” to develop technology that relates to fuel-cell and hydrogen storage systems together.

“We are convinced this is the best way to develop this important technology, which has the potential to help reduce the dependence on petroleum and establish sustainable mobility,” said Dan Akerson, GM’s CEO.
