Chevrolet Earns Five Segment Awards From J.D. Power and Associates

VALPARAISO, Ind. - July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Team Chevrolet (http://www.teamchevyinc.com/Welcome) is proud to offer several vehicles that have been recognized for their outstanding quality by J.D. Power and Associates. Five Chevrolet models received honors in the 2013 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study, which is the most awards earned by any brand. In addition to the five segment awards, Chevrolet also came in fifth among nameplate brands for initial quality.

In the segment awards, winners include:

   •     Midsize Sporty – Camaro

   •     Large Car – Impala

   •     Large CUV – Tahoe

   •     Large Heavy-Duty Pickup – Silverado HD

   •     Large Light-Duty Pickup – Avalanche

Chevrolet also had several segment leaders as well. The Spark ranked second in the City Car category, the Equinox ranked third in the Compact SUV division, and the Silverado LD ranked third among large light-duty pickup trucks.

Chevrolet saw their best performance to date in the 2013 study. According to Chris Perry, Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing, the manufacturer plans on continuing to provide consumers with quality automobiles. “Customer satisfaction and quality are our top priority,” Perry said. “We will continue to listen and learn from our customers as a way to improve quality even faster.”

To determine which vehicles earned distinctions from J.D. Power and Associates, over 83,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2013 model automobiles were surveyed after they have had their vehicles for 90 days. To help automakers quickly correct any issues with their vehicles, the 2013 study was redesigned to provide manufacturers with helpful feedback.

A focus on producing fuel-efficient products as well as offering the latest technology and convenience features has helped Chevrolet grow more rapidly than other high-volume global manufacturer. In 2012, Chevrolet saw record sales of 4.9 million vehicles.
