Howard County Farmers' Markets Abuzz with Activity this Week

July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Howard County, MD  -  The Howard County Farmers’ Markets will be alive with activity this week as many enjoy the ability to Buy Local and Eat Fresh from the five Howard County Farmers’ Markets.

Wednesday, July 10th - This Wednesday’s Howard County Farmers' Market hours will be extended to accommodate the guests of the "Here's To You: Library of the Year Community Celebration!" at the Howard County Library's Miller Branch. Please join us at the Library's event to celebrate excellence in education, and to thank the community for its major role in Howard County Library System receiving Gale/Library Journal’s 2013 Library of the Year award!

   Howard County Farmers’ Market: 2:00 - 7:00 pm
   Library’s Celebratory Event: 4:00 - 7:00 pm

Thursday, July 11th - Guest Vendors, Elk Run Vineyards' Bob Cecil of Mount Airy and J'Adorn Designs' jewelry artisan, Alison Jefferies of Catonsville, will join the wonderful array of vendors this Thursday, July 11th at the Howard County Farmers' Market at the Howard County Library's East Columbia Branch, 2:00 - 6:00 pm!

Friday, July 12th - At this Friday’s Howard County Farmers’ Market, the farmers’ market patrons will be able to enjoy the season’s best fruits and vegetables and more, 2:00 - 6:00 pm!  Make your way all the way to the end to visit Thai Spices, local maker of spicy sauces.  On your way through, please be sure to Buy Local and Eat Fresh from TLV Tree Farm, Misty Meadow Farm Creamery, Stone House Bakery, MacBride and Falcon Ridge Farm, Love Dove Farms, Dorio Biscotti, The Cosmic Ban Coffee Company and The Breadery!

Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th - This Saturday, Howard County Farmers’ Market patrons will be able to listen to the sweet sounds of The Mighty Kelltones at the Howard County Library's Glenwood Branch, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm!  Misty Meadow Farm Creamery will be serving up ice cream as well as selling their white milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk and fresh cheese.  Elk Run Vineyards’ Bob Cecil will be selling several Elk Run Vineyards’ Varietals.  

Visit the Sunday Howard County Farmers' Market where Elk Run will also be joining the Sunday vendors  as a guest vendor this week. The Sunday Howard County Farmers' Market is open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Oakland Mills Village Center.

Howard County Farmers' Markets are inviting patrons to accept the buy local challenge to buy local at each of the five Howard County Farmers' Markets for the month of July.
