DUSSELDORF, Germany - July 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Uedem/Stuttgart – The flavour of freshly grounded coffee beans scented alluringly around the booth of Oxford Instruments Analytical GmbH during this years’ Control in Stuttgart. But it was not only the promising flavour which attracted that many visitors. Holding a cup of freshly brewed coffee many of the delegates took the chance to be informed about the innovative products of the British company. The staff of the Uedem (Germany) site located production site introduced the spectrometers PMI-MASTER Pro with UVTouch as well as FOUNDRY-MASTER Xpert, X-Strata920 and the X-MET7000 series thoroughly.

The instruments, especially the mobile PMI-MASTER Pro with the UVTouch, probe aroused special interest. The intelligent probe UVTouch allows the analysis of Nitrogen in duplex steel at nearly every location and can be used flexibly and reliably for positive material identification (PMI) as well material testing. For the material testing of duplex and super-duplex steel classes the identification of Nitrogen is essential.  These alloys contain a certain amount of Nitrogen (0.1 – 0.8%) in order to improve the capacity to withstand stresses and the corrosion resistance. Duplex steel, which is worldwide considered to be a material of great future, is often used in chemical- and petrochemical plants and can be identified with the PMI-MASTER Pro in combination with the new UVTouch probe.

Information regarding the new bench top optical emission spectrometer FOUNDRY-MASTER Xline, which has been recently introduced in Asia end of April, was frequently requested. The FOUNDRY-MASTER Xline is the ideal spectrometer for foundries and metal producing businesses and was therefore an often discussed topic by the clients at the booth.

“The clients appreciated the possibility to have their samples analysed on site and made agile use of the exchange with the booth staff”, Christian Heiting, head of the exhibition booth, summarized. His sales team used the opportunity to explain the differences and developments in the area of optical emission spectroscopy and x-ray fluorescence analysis. In addition, they portrayed the advantages and application areas of the mobile and stationary instruments of the company.

The topic improving quality through quality assurance was the main focus of the Control 2013, the leading fair and industry event, which took place from 14 to 17 May in Stuttgart. Approximately 25,000 delegates from 89 nations used the chance to be informed about the most up to date developments in their area of interest. Oxford Instruments Analytical GmbH presented itself at an impressive booth with updated layout – the open concept which incorporated the corporate identity of the British company consistently, attracted many interested participants. The alluringly coffee flavour put the icing on the cake.
