LAS VEGAS - July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Certified fitness trainer Linda Vu is currently offering a series of self-empowerment seminars dedicated to helping you become the best in everything you do.

On July 21st, The Linda Vu Fitness Academy will offer a Women’s Self Defense Seminar at Temple’s Wing Chun Kung Fu School before heading overseas to further train the women in the Armed Forces.

Working with experts in the fitness, self-defense and motivational industries, The Linda Vu Fitness Academy Team travels worldwide coming to your gym, school or venue to set up an interactive workshop educating your audience with modern day techniques that will inspire, motivate and empower you.  Each seminar runs a minimum of one hour with some lasting two or more.

Vu is a Certified Fitness Trainer, Fitness Consultant and international Fitness Model.    She just released the Power Abs workout DVD along with her motivational workout CD Energy Hour and is currently working on her upcoming fitness book. Get The Body You Want.

Linda Vu Fitness Academy was recently contracted by Armed Forces Entertainment to bring her series to the women serving overseas.  Some of the many bases Linda Vu will bring her Women’s Self Defense Seminars to include Europe, Japan and Afghanistan.

The first mistake is thinking that it could never happen to you. I take every precaution to protect my loved ones and myself. It's time to empower yourself!

Some of the topics the seminar will cover will include:

Recognizing, Avoiding & Defending Yourself, Basic Principles of Self, Defense & Taking Control, Fears, Safety & Situation Awareness, Realities of Physical Assaults - Stalking, Harassment, Kidnapping, Robbery & Rape, Attackers and their Patterns, Techniques & Strategies to Defense Yourself, Physical Drills & Scenarios

When a crime is committed against you, what exactly do you think will protect you? Nobody can protect you better than yourself. This is one of the reasons why I’m currently offering a Women's Self Defense seminar. Women are targeted more when it comes to crimes because they are considered the easiest and weakest to overpower.

“I want you to seriously think about this especially if you’re a female. If you were being attacked, how would you defend yourself?” asked Ms. Vu.  “Even if you call the police, it could take them 10 minutes or longer to respond. Which in most cases will be too late.”

Linda added, “If someone tries to assault me, they better be ready for a battle. Although I’m a petite woman, I won’t give up without a fight because I refuse to be a victim. You should never limit yourself. Many women have a false sense of security thinking a man or someone else can protect them. That’s great if you can be escorted 24/7 but what if they’re not around? You should always be able to defend yourself.”

In Vegas, so many women work at night in the service industry as waitress, bartenders, entertainers and etc. Parking lots at night are a prime targets for criminals.  Learn how to protect yourself before it’s too late. That’s why it’s important to stay physically fit and active. Take my self-defense seminar and you’ll learn several new techniques and skills to protect yourself.

Linda Vu’s Women’s Self Defense Seminar in Las Vegas will be held at Temple’s Wing Chun Kung Fu School on July 21st at 1pm.  The address is 3120 S Valley View Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89102 in Las Vegas, NV.  Linda Vu's Website (http://www.lindavu.net)

“We are proudly to be the only source of the Yip Man/Lo Man Kam lineage available to teach traditional Wing Chun in the state of Nevada,” added Vu.  Wing Chun Kung Fu is best known as the late Bruce Lee’s martial arts foundation.  Tested in tournaments, challenge matches and street fights, Wing Chun is very effective martial art and method of self-defense.

Sifu Bradley Temple is the disciple of Master Lo Man Kam in Taiwan and continues his teachings in the U.S.A.  For the first time in Nevada, this direct lineage of teachings is now available.

Master Lo Man Kam started his training in 1950.  Master Lo was the only family member taught directly by Grandmaster Yip Man.  One of the original Hong Kong students of Yip Man, Master Lo was the only family member that the Grandmaster taught before 1960.
