Born in Mashhad, Iran, Negahban took a liking to acting at the age of eight when he first provoked laughter from a large audience while he was on stage. He grew up during the Iranian Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War, before leaving at the age of 20 and moving to Turkey, Germany, and eventually America. After getting his show-biz start doing commercials and modeling, he transitioned into episodic work on TV and various movie roles.
