Successful Event offers Financial Advisors a Peak at Strategies Used by Industry’s Top Producers

Advisors’ Academy’s first Large-Scale Live Exhibition Generates Excitement and Many New Members; Follow-up Events Are Already Scheduled
 
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- For years, Advisors’ Academy founder David Scranton wanted to host a large, live event showcasing some of his organization’s many innovative sales and marketing systems. With the help of a rapidly growing staff he was finally able to pull it off and (as Scranton always suspected) the results were phenomenal.  “Behind the Curtain,” the Academy’s first large-scale exhibition, attracted dozens of financial advisors from across the country here in May, and over half of those who attended are now Academy members.  The results were so outstanding, in fact, that the Academy already has a follow-up event, “Academy Showcase,” scheduled for Aug. 2nd and 3rd, also here in Fort Lauderdale.

“When it comes to really communicating the power and effectiveness of some of these systems, there’s no substitute for a live event,” said Steve Archer, Advisors’ Academy Director of Recruiting. “We knew this would be a hit, and now we intend to keep the momentum going by making live shows a key part of our marketing platform.”

“Behind the Curtain” featured two days of in-depth presentations on eight of the Academy’s most consistently lucrative and widely used proprietary systems – a range of market-proven programs focusing on everything from sales and referral-gathering to lead-generation and branding.  Most were presented by the very advisors who created them and use them in coordination with the Scranton Sales Process and other Academy systems to generate annual income totals in excess of $1 million.

“Logistically it was a challenge to bring these busy, highly successful producers from all over the country together, but we knew no one could present these programs better than the very people who created them,” Archer said.  “And, at the end of the day, they were all actually excited to share this knowledge. There’s a certain pride-of-ownership when you’ve created something that really works, and that enthusiasm brought a lot of energy that was a big part of the event’s overall success.”

“Behind the Curtain” played on the idea that, usually, highly successful sales and marketing systems are kept secret to all but official members of the organization to which those systems belong.  By offering a free glimpse “behind the curtain” at some of the Academy’s top programs, Scranton said he wanted to demonstrate the incredible range of innovation that his organization’s advisors bring to the table, and to send the message: there are plenty more where these came from.  

“We have no problem putting these things out there on a no-obligation basis because, truth be told, they really are just a small sampling of the many turnkey tools and programs our advisors have at their disposal,” Scranton said.  “In fact, it is the broad range and versatility of our systems that allows so many different types of advisors to find and implement strategies that work for them – and work well enough to take them to that elite level of success.”  

Scranton said he’s pleased not only with the success of “Behind the Curtain,” but with the fact that his organization now has the resources in place to be able to hold such events on a regular basis.  In addition to the “Academy Showcase” scheduled for August, a second “Behind the Curtain” is also being planned for October.
