LOS ANGELES - July 8, 2013 - PRLog -- One hundred African American concerned citizens will board a bus for DC through The Black Leadership Alliance(B.A.L.A.) in Leimert Park on July 12, 2013 headed to Washington D.C. to march at Freedom Plaza. The Los Angeles citizens will join The Black Leadership Alliance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZbjIJGwMnw&feature=player_embedded) with the agenda to march in Washington D.C. July 15, 2013 in an attempt to stop the Senate Bill 744, Amnesty Legislation to increase legal citizenship in The United States. This movement is locally lead by Ted Hayes (http://www.tedhayes.us/) , LA organizer Herbert Baker Jr., and nationally lead by Leah Durant (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAJXN_FK1Jo). Leah has joined with Shirley Husar (http://youtu.be/BiMs0VsS9iw) from Urban Game Changer (http://www.urbangamechanger.com/) to bring awareness about the rally on July 11, 2013 in a Press Conference held at The Action Factory in El Segundo, CA.

The Black Leadership Alliance

We believe it is time that members of Congress act to preserve economic opportunity for American workers - and pass immigration legislation that protects and supports the nearly 22 million American citizens who do not have jobs, or cannot find adequate employment to support their families. Economists report that labor participation in the U.S. is at its lowest rate in over 30 years. Despite sluggish economic conditions, some in Congress have put forth immigration proposals to increase legal immigration levels by 50% and provide amnesty to over 11 million people who have entered the country illegally. We stand against these proposals, as they will result in adding millions more to the U.S. labor force, putting millions of American citizens out of work.

All press will be invited to hear directly from organizers in Los Angeles on the issue of Amnesty and Immigration on July 11, 2013.
