Domestic Violence Does Not Take a Summer Holiday. The YWCA of Northwest Georgia is here to help.

MARIETTA, Ga. - July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- As you know, domestic violence does not take a summer holiday. The number of calls made to the YWCA of Northwest Georgia’s crisis line has increased by 20% in the past year.  The number of clients who will be receiving counseling services this year is expected to increase by 20% as well.  Right now there are thousands of women in Cobb County who are being affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. In fact, 1 in 4 women in Cobb County will be a victim of domestic violence. This equates to approximately 88,000 women victims in our community alone.

Though you may not have the opportunity to meet our clients, you would greatly impact their lives with a monthly donation. It would be impossible to provide the comprehensive services of the YWCA of Northwest Georgia without financial support. We continue to receive funding cuts from the state and federal government as we try to do more with less each day.
