Indiana Seminar Teaches Adults and Teens How to Protect Themselves from Assault, August 11

Bill Kipp- author and self-defense expert will be in Warsaw, Indiana teaching his award-winning personal protection course - “Stop Assault FAST”.
 
WARSAW, Ind. - July 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Former Marine Bill Kipp, creator of the award-winning FAST Defense empowerment program, is the featured presenter for a personal safety and adrenal stress training program for adults and teens ages 13 and older, August 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for the seminar is $50.

Kipp from Longmont, Colorado will be making a special teaching appearance in Indiana to teach this seminar along with local certified FAST Defense instructor, Steve Zorn of Personal Safety Unlimited. Participants will learn assertiveness and self-protection skills designed to effectively protect adults from verbal and physical aggression. This empowering program will be held at Kosciusko Community YMCA located at 1401 E. Smith St. in Warsaw.

The seminar will cover the full toolkit of the ABC's of FAST Defense which includes:

-How to recognize the warning signs of attack and avoid threatening situations before they become dangerous
-How to avoid attackers by not looking like a victim
-How and when to use the power of your voice and body language to stop an assault
-How to find and utilize the power of your fear, not be paralyzed by it
-And when all else fails, how to protect yourself and your loved ones with simple & effective FULL FORCE techniques to the attacker's vulnerable areas

“This seminar is not about learning complex martial arts techniques,” said Steve Zorn. “It’s about teaching adults and teens the essential skills to protect both themselves and their families. Its about teaching people of ALL types and ages how to stay safe from crime and violence.”

Kipp has more than 20 years of teaching this highly specialized training, logging more than 50,000 live adrenal stress scenarios against students ranging from children, teens, moms, and dads to martial arts experts and professional fighters. The former United States Marine served three West Pacific deployments with the elite 3rd Marine Recon Teams, the last as Recon Team Leader. He also is a fifth degree black belt who has been studying martial arts for more than 30 years. He was inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame in 2012.

Steve Zorn will donate 10% of the proceeds from this event to the Scott Thomas Cancer Fund, a charity created to help the Thomas family of Warsaw with medical expenses.
