Adtec PlasmaTact Officially Launched after Passing CE

HOUNSLOW, U.K. - July 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Earlier this year, work started at Adtec Europe to design and manufacture a portable microwave powered non-thermal plasma torch; the first in our range of compact PlasmaTact Products. This current launch means that a multitude of industries will now easily be able to evaluate and use cold plasma; it is no longer an experimental technology. Previous incarnations of Adtec plasma products have been successfully used by the Max Planck Institute in Germany for the past 7 years in clinical trials investigating Plasma Medicine. Therefore Adtec Europe is the perfect partner to facilitate proof of concept tests and then consult with you to develop a customised plasma device for your application. Our fully equipped UK-based manufacturing and design centre enables us to quickly and efficiently react to specific requests and of course offer the same reliable after-sales support as we do for all our other products.

Cold Plasma (also known as nonthermal plasma) is a safe and environmentally friendly technology in which gas (in our case Argon or Helium) is treated with an electromagnetic field provided by a microwave generator ; this partially ionizes the gas particles and creates a low temperature plasma. Then this plasma can be used for a variety of applications; its anti-microbial properties mean it can be used for sanitisation without requiring any harmful chemicals, it can also be used in industrial applications to treat surfaces prior to coating or bonding steps in production.
