Online Book Seller, Go-Getter Books, Is Going Retail with Dual Mandate

July 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Santa Paula, CA, July 3, 2013 -- Go-Getter Books, (the “Company”), an online book dealer,  announced today that it is taking the plunge into retail by opening a store on Main Street, Santa Paula, California., with a Grand Opening event to take place on Thursday, July 11.  The 2,000 square foot retail space also has an 8,000 square foot combined warehouse and mezzanine level where the company inventories much of its online merchandise including books, dvds, cds, gifts and collectibles. The retail store has a dual mission for the online seller;  first, to blow-out used merchandise at incredibly low prices;  and, second, to provide funding to Go-Getter’s various charities, including the local Boy’s & Girl’s Club.

The July 11 event will include a ribbon-cutting Grand Opening with city dignitaries, a Book Sale Blowout with 20,000 items, appetizers and refreshments, a Silent Auction and from 6:00 – 8:00 pm a private cocktail party for Santa Paula business owners, Community Leaders and Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce Members.

Thirty percent (30%) of book, DVD and CD sales and one-hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds from the Silent Auction will be donated to the Boy’s & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley, which includes Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru branches.

This 3-Day Event, the Grand Opening and Book Sale Blowout will continue until Saturday, July 13. Every two months the Company will have a Blowout sale on the second Friday and Saturday of the month benefiting various charities.

“The retail space will allow us to sell a portion of our inventory on a daily bases at incredibly low prices and have bi-monthly events where we lower the prices on books, dvds and cds even more,” stated Mitch Freeland, President and CEO of the Company.  Mr. Freeland added, “Every two months we have a fundraising sale and a portion of the proceeds go to our favorite causes. Our events are a win-win for everybody involved.  Shoppers can purchase books for as little as $.50 and proceeds are donated to our charities including the Boy’s & Girls Club, Toys-for-Tots, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, The Humane Society, Magic Johnson Foundation, John of God and The Go-Getter Scholarship Program.”
