Ford Unveils All-New F-150 Sport Truck

BURNS HARBOR, Ind. - July 2, 2013 - PRLog -- This distinctive sport truck will be the first of its kind to feature an EcoBoost engine, which will deliver the exhilarating power of a V8 while offering the fuel efficiency of a V6. For drivers interested in a truck that combines utility with style and power, the F-150 Tremor will be a must-have truck.

The twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine underneath the hood of the F-150 Tremor is capable of cranking out up to 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, even when using regular fuel. It can also deliver up to 90% of its peak torque between 1,700 rpm and 5,000 rpm. In order to improve both power and fuel efficiency, this innovative engine also features twin independent variable camshaft timing. The Tremor will be the first regular-cap F150 to feature this engine.

This all-new sport truck will deliver the kind of zero-to-60 performance that auto enthusiasts expect to find. In addition to its prodigious torque, it has a 4.20 rear axle with electronic locking differential, specially tuned to give drivers unrivaled power at launch. The fuel-efficiency ratings are also quite respectable for a truck this powerful: it gets an EPA-estimated 16 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined.

While the powertrain on the F-150 Tremor is impressive by itself, it has the looks to match. It has black 20-inch wheels, black tubular running boards, black and red exterior badging, and eye-catching bodyside graphics. The interior also boasts a unique look with black leather seats, contrasting red piping, sleek brushed-metal accents, and a steering wheel stitched with distinctive red thread. Unlike standard regular-cab F-150 models, the Tremor features bucket seats and a flow-through center console.
