Introducing Sculpture Artist Randy M Smith

PRESCOTT, Ariz. - July 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Prescott Valley, Arizona - Sculpture Artist Randy M Smith www.randymsmithartist.com has been shown and juried at many museums and his Artist Portfolio is included in many collections throughout the United States and Europe. He works in all mediums associated with sculpting. His copper brazing, welded sculptures, bronze, cement and resin castings are unique creations.

In addition to his sculptures, Randy’s work also includes smaller-format copper art such as copper wall hangers. A recent addition to his repertoire is a heart wall hanger. Every copper heart is slightly different, which makes every single piece a one-of-a-kind copper design, unique in and of itself.  In addition to copper hearts, Randy also creates garden sculptures, Menorahs, copper candlesticks and other home décor items.

Randy studied for his fine arts degree at the University of Oregon in Eugene. His first introduction to the fine arts was through studies at the LaJolla Art Museum in LaJolla, California. There, he fabricated sculptures for 10 years following his attendance at Oregon.

Randy returned to his roots up on the McKenzie River after that, opening an art studio at the famous Belknap Hot Springs Resort. Randy spent two years creating privately commissioned steel sculptures. His artwork commissions also appeared in juried shows in Portland and Seattle, most notably, the prestigious Bumbershoot Art Festival in Seattle.

After 22 years in the corporate world as a Safety Director for various Drilling and Construction companies Randy retired to Arizona in 2012 and is now devoting his time to being a full-time Sculpture Artist.
