In addition to submitting a completed application form, those applying are reminded to also have the following forms and documents successfully submitted by the August 1st deadline: • College or University Degree Transcripts • IH Related Courses Documentation • Work Experience Documentation • Professional References Questionnaires “The testing window for the fall exam for successful Applicants of the August 1st deadline is October through November,” reported Tracy Parsons, CIH, Administrative Program Manager at American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH). “For approved Candidates, we remind them to remember that the exam slots at the Prometric Testing Centers fill up fast, especially at the end of the testing window. It is prudent to pay the exam fee as soon as your application has been approved so that approved Candidates have more choices of exam appointments.” There are only two periods each year to take the CIH examination. For those submitting their applications by the February 1st deadline, the spring exam period is from April through May. For those submitting for the August 1st deadline, the exam period is from October through November. The entire process and all of the requirements have been clearly defined by the ABIH in a downloadable document on the ABIH website.
