Big Bear Lake Set to Explode with 4th of July Celebration

Big Bear Lake California 4th of July celebration will erupt over the lake, one of the best in California. The brilliant light display reflects off the high 7,000' lake offering one of a kind Southern California views that can be viewed on a boat.

BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. - June 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Each year Big Bear's Independence Day event gets bigger.  Big Bear's Rotary Club has organized the 4th of July event for decades and this year the display is valued over $100,000. Local radio station, KBHR 93.3, plays choreographed music to the pyrotechnic display that’s launched on the lake from a barge.  Thanks to efforts from the Rotary Club, this show spectacular is free.  Only high quality fireworks are used.  The event is expected to last about 45 minutes starting around 9PM.

The show can be viewed from shore and there are miles of lakefront plus parks to choose from.  One favorite spot is Stanfield Cutoff Road where you have a perfect view.  Bring a cooler and comfortable chairs.  You can even do some fishing before the event!  One very useful  tip for parking to watch at  Stanfield Cutoff Road, park your car south of Big Bear Blvd on Starvation Flats Rd.  It’s well worth walking a quarter mile to avoid traffic.  Plenty of parking is available.

The show is best viewed from a boat on the lake. It's estimated that over 1,000 people will be viewing from a boat.  Many will launch as early as 6AM, taking lunch and dinner and then waiting for the big show.  There truly is nothing like seeing amazing, brilliant fireworks filling the sky and reflecting off the lake.  It's a unique experience.
