June 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Mike Archer is a solo artist from Indianapolis, Indiana, but currently resides in Danville, KY. His dreams of playing professionally in the NBA morphed into that of a music star. The music industry took him out of his hometown, but his hometown never left him. As he performs all over the United States and Caribbean, he thinks of family and friends every single day. Success always dedicated to his mother, Jan Archer, and her unwavering support throughout.

Mike wasn’t always a solo act.  In the beginning he tried putting a few bands together but personalities always seemed to get in the way.  He found it less complicated to bring in musicians, when needed, who understand his style and sound. Musicians who could represent Mike Archer’s music as it should be played.  He is a versatile and adventurous musician always looking for an edge, delivering a refreshing new sound with each song he sings.

On his second album release, “Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda”, his lead single “Sharp Dressed Man” is a prime example of putting his spin on a song.  Originally recorded by ZZ Top as a hard rockin’ iconic song, Mike put a country twist to it while still respecting its classic sound.   This song is now a rockin’ country tune that makes you want to get up and dance.  His new rendition is refreshing and as fun to rock to as the original.

“Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda” is a  CD which represents the versatility of the artist himself.  From rock to country to ballads, Mike keeps his music fresh and fun which keeps his audience on their toes and loving his music.

Mike Archer’s prior release was an independent CD titled “The Next Best Thing”.  He just completed an eight month tour on Disney Cruise Lines.  Playing four hours a day, six days a week for eight months will no doubt give you the time to grow your sound.  Mike has opened for Jimmy Buffet, George Strait, BJ Thomas, Billy Joe Royal and Daryle Singletary.  He has also played on the RJ Corman Dinner Train for the Kentucky Derby four years in a row and continues to perform on the Disney Cruise Line.

Mike Archer has done whatever he could to make his dream a reality.  Music is his world and he does whatever he can to make this happen.  One message that he hopes his fans recognize is to never give up on your dreams no matter what resistance life throws at you or direction life takes you in, you will keep swaying towards what is in your heart and soul.
