Mexia will start off the day with a bang with its Firecracker 5K Run and Walk, and continue the day with it and HEB Kid’s Karnival and Mexia Car Show. There will be a pet parade and fireworks aplenty with the SkyFire 2013 fireworks show.

The George Bush Library and Museum will host the I Love America celebration put on by the College Station Noon Lions Club. There will be free admission to the library all day, with concessions and live music outside, then a hot air balloon glow, a performance by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, and fireworks in the evening.

Fort Hood and Killeen will celebrate with the Freedom Fest which includes: a free carnival, fifty-gun salute, miniature stock car racing, fishing pond, climbing wall, inflatables and many more activities for the whole family.  The event will finish with a dazzling 30-minute fireworks display choreographed to the tunes of patriotic music.
