Lakeshore Spotlights Core Value "Be an Empowered Leader in Your Role"

Lakeshore understands that leadership qualities aren’t created in a vacuum. It is essential that Team Members have access to the tools necessary to be empowered leaders.

DENVER - June 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Lakeshore, formerly Lakeshore Staffing, implemented a fresh social media strategy in May which focuses specifically on highlighting the organization’s core values. In June, the core value of “Be an Empowered Leader in Your Role” has been articulated through communication on Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter. Because Lakeshore courageously stands by its core values, and because that commitment is unique in the staffing industry, the company will be spotlighting one core value each month.

Lakeshore focuses on supporting people throughout their careers—whether or not they benefit directly. Services such as job placement, interview coaching and resume tune-ups are offered with the goal that each person who walks in the doors will leave with more than they came in with. Additionally, because Lakeshore places a priority on taking care of their Candidates, they can, in turn, provide Employers with employees who are engaged, happy and more productive.

No one at Lakeshore has a title containing the word, “Manager.” In fact, the word is officially banned in each office. In an environment based on empowerment and personal responsibility, leaders are desired over managers. Whether you are the Lakeshore CEO or an entry-level Team Member just stepping into a career, each person strives to lead in their respective role. Empowered leaders understand that all Team Members have important roles which are crucial to achieving Team goals.

“Everyone’s thoughts matter and we truly work together as a Team.” says Lakeshore’s Senior Consultant of Business Development, Angela Snyder. “I have the opportunity to be included in internal company decisions to ensure that I have the appropriate tools to be successful. Externally, it’s rewarding to know that I am affecting others’ lives in an important way. I help people realize their dreams whether or not it’s beneficial to me directly.”

Lakeshore understands that leadership qualities aren’t created in a vacuum. It is essential that Team Members have access to the tools necessary to be empowered leaders. In July, Lakeshore’s Executive Vice President of Learning and Development, Scott Byron, and Team Captain of Learning and Development, Joe Goodwin, will be rolling out the Courageous Leadership Development Program which will ensure that all Team Members continue to grow professionally and personally. "At Lakeshore, we believe that all Team Members can be empowered leaders,” explained Goodwin. “The notion that people are born leaders is a fallacy--anyone can become a leader. It just takes practice. Being a leader at Lakeshore has nothing to do with holding a ‘leadership’ title. Leaders have the guts to lead by personal moral example and focus on building relationships."

Our purpose is to inspire those around us to be their best selves, and we can only do this by being our best selves. We foster an environment of gratitude, service, humility, empowerment and courage—all of which are necessary to lead well. Visit Lakeshore’s website at www.livinglakeshore.com to learn more.
