Boheme Collectif Presents Comixstravaganza and Cosplay Prom!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- On Saturday, July 13 Boheme Collectif will host an event unlike any seen in Nashville with a comic book art show and cosplay prom called Comixstravaganza!

“We are so excited to host this event” says Boheme Director Sabrina Langlois. “We believe it is a unique concept and something that has never been done in Nashville!”

Comixstravaganza is a two part event. During the day time hours of noon – 6 PM Boheme will feature original art from local professional comic book artists in a gallery format, and will feature an artist’s alley for guests to meet and greet artists and have custom sketches and commissions done onsite! Artists confirmed for the event include Michael Lapinski (Feeding Grounds), Stephen L. Fox (NEX), Sam Payne (Marvel Comics), Janet Lee (Return of the Dappermen), and Eli Cash (Legends of Merith). Additional artists to be announced. In addition, Tommy Hancock of Pro Se Productions (the leading publisher of speculative sci-fi and pulp adventure) will be presenting workshops about writing and getting published! The comic book art show is open to all ages and is only $5.00 to attend, with a $20.00 family max!

The second part of the event is the evening’s anticipated Cosplay Prom. “It’s a superhero dance party” added co-created Logan Grant. “Guests can come dressed as their favorite comic character, dance, enjoy our signature Wolverine Berserker Bomb, have photos taken in the photo booth, and participate in the costume contest.” Cosplay is word used to describe the occasion of dressing like one’s favorite superhero, villain, TV character, or video game characters. The Cosplay Prom is restricted to age 21 and up and will feature “The Masked DJ,” and live performances by Crystal Starr. More guests to be announced. The Cosplay Prom is scheduled 8 PM – Midnight.

The Cosplay Prom is $15 to attend; however there is a special full day pass also available. The full day pass for the art show and prom is only $15 as well! “We feel like this is an exceptional deal to get both the events for the price of one” added Sabrina Langlois.
