FORT GARLAND, Colo. - June 25, 2013 - PRLog -- While many people have good intentions in taking care of their fish, sometimes the lack of knowledge on how to raise them properly can quickly dishearten beginners with Aquaponics. Fish kills and poor management skills, have people giving up before they can correct their mistakes.

Different species of fish have different eating requirements and care to maintain good health. The Essential Fish Care In Aquaponics is a great little resource for beginners and mid- range aquaponics enthusiasts. The book is easy to read, well put together and gives the reader a good idea of maintenance and care for Aquaponic fish species.

Great Book! I Just finished reading your The Essential Fish Care Book and want you to know I learned lots of stuff I'd never seen before. What a great resource! Many of the links were really helpful. I had no idea there were so many options for fish feed beyond store-bought pellets. My heart-felt thanks to you for your efforts, on both this book and the amazing magazine WOW. -Tuck Laurens

The Essential Fish Care in Aquaponics looks into maintaining a good pH balance and why this is important not just for the fish but for the whole system. There are subjects on oxygen, ammonia, nitrites, food supplements and other information that can help people immensely towards their goals in having a successful Aquaponics system.

There are links in the book to aid people with research on other related subjects they may need some answers on. The author also writes about pathogens, viruses, bacteria and parasites that readers should all know about fish.

I paid $3.97 for this book! The links alone are worth that. After our last disaster in Aquaponics I was very hesitant to start again. Armed with this knowledge I think we are well prepared to start off with a small system. I highly recommend this book to anybody considering Aquaponics!!! -John Kreidler

The book became another area for Victoria to branch out into.
