TD Charitable Foundation Recognizes the Koss Music and Cultural Arts Institute

LUTZ, Fla. - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Greg Koss, the proud Director of the Koss Music and Cultural Arts Institute (KMCAI) was ecstatic when he learned of the $2,500 award from the TD Bank Charitable Foundation.

The Institute is a 501(C) 3 Charitable organization that has been providing opportunities for "At Risk" and low income youth in Lutz, Florida since 2010.

Brian A. Ziemba, Central Florida Market President of TD Bank stated in a letter to KMCAI, "I am pleased to inform you on behalf of TD Bank that the TD Charitable Foundation has approved a $2,500 contribution to the At Risk Youth Music Education Program project. We believe that organizations such as yours play a significant role in sustaining vibrant and thriving communities. TD Bank through its charitable giving arm, the TD Charitable Foundation, carries a legacy of supporting not-for-profit institutions and their important work throughout our region. Since its inception in 2002, the foundation has contributed over $102 million in grant funding to not-for-profit organizations in the communities where we work, live, and do business."

Mr. Koss, in accepting the grant said, "I would like to thank TD Charitable Foundation for their contribution to our organization and for allowing us to participate in the Ifinity program. This contribution will allow more children into our organization's programs and help support our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education in our community."

Research shows that youth who study music have higher confidence levels, and these students show improved performance at school. Studies have demonstrated that music students exhibit increased memory along with improved listening and concentration skills for an overall better quality of life.
